Thank you for joining us last week on the Zoom Call. If you missed out, here are the resources that were shared below. This week I want you to complete the design challenge and share a picture on the TURN IN HERE tab on the top right corner.

1. Animal Movement Song
2. We watched a short video on Generation Genius about Animals and their Parents/Offspring. You can visit their website by clicking the button below.
3. Next, we watched Mrs. Ayres create a duck call. Animals use their sounds to communicate with the parents to tell their parents their needs. Here are the directions for you to create your own at home.
4. Last, share a picture our video on the TURN IN HERE tab on the top right of your completed duck call.

For this activity you will need to take a walk with an adult or go in your back yard to explore. When you find on of the items in a box draw what you find. When you have 4 in a row that means BINGO! You can also try to fill the entire board. Good Luck! Turn in your finished BINGO card by taking a picture and sharing on the "Turn in Here" tab on the top right of this blog.

Leaf Rubbing

DIRECTIONS:
1. Your student will use paper and the edge of a peeled crayon to create several different leaf rubbings. This will take them some time and they may have to practice on a few before they get the hang of how to do it.
2. When your child has collected at least 10 leaf rubbings, the student should then sort their leaves. Encourage your student NOT to focus on the crayon color, but on the qualities of their different leaves.
3. Have your students attach their leaf rubbings to a piece of paper in the groups they created. Have students circle the groups of leaves. The parents can help write in why those leaves go together based on student descriptions.
Questions to ask your child:
1. What rules did you use for leaf sorting.
2. What made you put certain leaves together, but not others?
